To support our military-connected students, The da Vinci Academy has a part-time Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) and a Military Liaison on staff. They work together to create and maintain programs and events for military-connected students and families. These include counseling services, lunch bunch, fun events, an Ambassador Club, and Purple-Up for Military Kids celebrations in April.
The MFLC and Military Liaison collaborate to:
Identify military-connected students at The da Vinci Academy.
Serve as a point of contact between The da Vinci Academy and military-connected students and their families.
Determine appropriate school services available to military-connected students.
Determine whether military-connected students have access to the appropriate counseling services, mentorship services, volunteer opportunities, and support services.
