School Supplies

If you have attended other schools, you may have had a Supply List that each student needed to purchase before starting school.  On average, we found that parents were spending between $150-$200 per student to buy all the items.  As a school district, we found that by shifting to a one-time fee, we can purchase items in bulk for a discount, and it is easier on parents.

Therefore, as a district, all elementary schools have two fees at the beginning of the year: the classroom Supply Fee and the Consumable Fee.  Starting in August, parents can log in to Infinite Campus to pay these fees, pay during the Dress Rehearsal, or send payment with their child once school starts.  This fee is significant for our teachers to provide the specific materials and experiences for their class throughout the whole year.

  • $40.00 Supply Fee (Kindergarten – Fifth Grades) explicitly supports purchasing pencils, crayons, paper, markers, glue sticks, tissues, hands-on materials, etc.

    • $35.00 Supply Fee (Preschool)

  • $45.00 Consumable Fee (Kindergarten – Fifth Grades) supports purchasing math workbooks, typing program, other web programs, special celebrations, student planners, class t-shirts, etc.

    • $35.00 Consumable Fee (Preschool)

Student Technology Fee

Students in Academy District 20 have a technology fee to support the one-to-one student device program.  The fee for Kindergarten through second-grade students at TdVA is $25.00, and each student is issued an iPad.  The fee for students in third through fifth grade is $50.00, and are issued a laptop to use throughout the school year.  This fee is used to purchase cases, repair accidental breakage, purchase apps or web programs, and purchase new devices.
